Top Tips For Dating
by Georgina Klass
You may look at other people and be jealous of their dating success and you could be missing out on a whole heap of fun. Dating doesn't have to be serious if you don't want it to. You can accumulate lots of great stories to tell friends simply by going on a few online dates or by agreeing to be set up by friends. Being active in the dating scene can give one lots of fun at any age.
If you've recently experienced a breakup you might choose to get back on the dating scene to make yourself feel better or to elicit some act of revenge on a cheating partner. But don't forget that to increase confidence you will still want to make a good first impression and show each other a good time. You should reveal the better side of yourself and not regret making stupid mistakes. With this in mind, below are some of the best advice I can give you on dating:
⦁ Dress comfortably but make an effort: no one wants to go out with someone on a date when they clearly couldn't be bothered to make the effort. You don't need to go all out, but you should try and impress a little;
⦁ Ask lots of questions and maintain eye contact: there's nothing worse than a self-involved person. If you can't talk about anything other than yourself then you will give off the impression that you won't be able to form a healthy relationship by allowing each person in the relationship to open up. Even if you are just nervous. Eye contact is the secret body language weapon as it instantly conveys attraction and the eyes are some of the sexiest parts of the body. A good tip to follow is that when you have said something about yourself, a fact or an opinion that you hold, you can then ask that as a question to someone else. For example, if you're talking about something you like, when you finish, ask "what do you think about x?"
Be proactive in your approach to the date. Allow yourself to do some of the work and make an effort to attract them and then you will enjoy yourself! A clue to whether you're not suited to each other will be if it's just too much effort. However, you should still give all you've got to make it a success and you just might be surprised by what you get out of it;
Confidence is king. If you're nervous just remember that you don't have to be loud or aggressive. Just have a quite confidence about you. It'll come more and more easily the more you practice! Make a fool of yourself occasionally and show that you don't care, people love that;
Perhaps the most important tip is to be yourself if you're looking to find that special someone. If not, then ignore that and just have fun and remember to show the other person a good time!
